The Mozambique Call

Filed under: Uncategorized — lamme @ 11:06 am

The Mozambique call is one that I have not been able to answer due to some fortunate Circumstance which all is surrounding my passport and money. The fist time it was due to the daily of arrival of my new passport and also believed God for £1000 for that Journey. As the passport show up but the finance, was what make it not possible for me to go. I was left with £503.87 diet to pay the Base for the ticket From London Heathrow (LHR) To Johannesburg, South Africa (JNB) which diet £360 has already pay from the gifts send toward the trip.
As of the second team it was more or less the same story with the difference this time is sending my passport for the extension of my missionary visa which I am really asking for prayers from all of you. I posted my documents and with a cheque of £395, Passports, 2photographs,and a letter from my base director which covers my work and financial obligation as required on the 14 July 2007. But it was redder unfortunate that the cheque was not dated, as it should so my passports, 2photographs and the cheque was sent to the bank and not to my address. So the bank called the base about it and the Administrator went for them and the cheque was dated and sent with my passports and 2photographs on the same day, which was in the 18 July. Two day after I receive a letter from the immigration with my forms and a cover letter with it saying that “thanks for my attempt application” but it have been refuse because I have not send with the forms the required document with them so they sent new forms. So the next day I fill out the forms and enclosed it with a letter explain to them the course and within the letter I state that it is because of lack of communication at their end, that is way they did not knew that I send it. But just yesterday again I receive a letter from them state the same complain of not sending along the cheque, passports and 2photographs. Which I have called Royal mail about and they have sent me confirmation about the delivery, which I intend to attach to the letter, I am sending today to them again so please pray with me. Two things I will like to pray for
I) That the passport, photographs, and cheque will be found in their departments.
II) That the visa will be granted

I will like to thank all who pray with me for the YWAM International Conference in Germany, call The FESTIVAL of the NATIONS hosted by the Herrnhut base, last May as it was make possible for me to be there. I want to say I’m grateful all your prayers and Especially to one woman who is a local well-wisher financially make it possible for me to be there as she is the only one who given towards that trip the sum £250 which I used Toby my ticket to & for to London back to Belfast and visa, as from London to Blaine was by road because the money was not to £450 doe it’s was a one time donor. But I’m still remaining to be faithful to God for her gifts.

As I had ask for prayers for the B2B School which is a two weeks LEADERSHIP Course in Scotland, coming up from the August 27 2007 – September 08 2007, it will not be possible for us to go the reason been the fist week of September is YWAM Northern Ireland Staff retreat and all the staff of the both bases should be their and also the year meeting the National & our base Leadership will be changing so all exceptions have been console for this reasons. The only option now left for The next B2B School will be taking place in Chilli (South America) from the October 11 2007. Which return ticket will be costing about £850 not including the school fees and pocket money. The course important that it’s of the courses the base has asked every staff member to do. As the full main is Leadership Development Course (LDC) but commonly called by ywamers B2B.

With reference to my monthly staff fees of £300 am still looking forward for people to partner with me as now only one woman by the name Amelia Morgan she sent every month the sum £50 in support of my fees. I like to ask people to join in with what even litter way that you can to help. Her contribution toward me is like the widow’s mite that Jesus talks about in Mark 12:41-44;Luke 21:2-4. She did not give out of her wealth but out of her poverty remember the money was not up to a penny but that what tights Jesus attention. Your mite not be up to £50 but every litter counts in my journey.

Your support will help me stay and be a successful missionary here in Northern Ireland. As of the past six months only a Amelia Morgan have been supporting me monthly will you join her to be Aaron or Hur lifting my hands or the Joshua and Caleb infighting my financial battle for me. Ex 17:8-14

THE URGENT CALL TO MOZAMBIQUE

Filed under: Uncategorized — lamme @ 12:08 am

Dear Partners in Ministry,

I will like to thank you for your prayer towards the trip to Mozambique, the team will be leaving on the 16th of this month but unfortunately I will not be going with them on this trip. But there will be another trip in July there, which I am now preparing for now, the reasoning for me not going on this trip it due to financial, I was to raise £600 to cover the cost for my Visas for both South Africa and Mozambique and the to and fro flights from Dublin to Gateway Airport London and from Johannesburg Airport South Africa to Mozambique . As the base but the ticket from my ticket from London Gateway to South Africa Johannesburg Airport for me which cost £478, and how it has gone to waste as the money is not refundable non transferable to another date. As for the trip in July raise all the money on my own now which is go to be £2000.

As for now am looking forward to raise the sum of £450 for the YWAM International Conference in Germany, call The FESTIVAL of the NATIONS at the Herrnhut base, which is on The 25th May. But we want to leave on the 22nd twodays before the opening day VISAS: There is four days YWAM Conference which is going to be hosted in Germany from the 22-28 May and all the staff are going am the only one which will need to get a Visa to entry Germany. And my visa application should go in two weeks before the travelling date, so at least raised all the money on the 8th May. For it to be possible for me to be there.
FINANCES: I need pray for the cost the trip to Germany and some pocket money, which is £450. Also following a two weeks LEADERSHIP Course in Scotland, which form the August 27 2007 – September 08 2007 fees about £400. Why the leadership course? Well it part of the commitment to serving at YWAM-NI Closkelt base as it seeking to raise every one who to serving here to be a good leader at his/her time of serving at the base. So at least for you to be accepted you most commit yourself for two years. With in the two years commitment you most do the B2B School that means Leadership Development Course (LDC) that which will be taking place this Aug/Sept in Scotland. I want to take advantage of it sense it in closer by because if I miss this one in Scotland it will cost me more money and time. The next B2B School will be taking place in Chilli (South America) from the October 11 2007. For both about £850.

Manager Maintenance Department

Filed under: Uncategorized — lamme @ 12:44 pm

My Role

I am presently working with three difference ministries: Hangout, Community Ministries and the Base Maintenance Department.

At the Hangout we are committed to…
Reach out to the marginalized
Show love practically by meeting needs and building relationships.
To mentor and disciple people as individual people and in their gifts.
Instilling value in individuals.
Growing community.
The Hangout is a ministry that is hard to describe as it is undergoing a lot of changes at this time. The Hangout was originally a place where local teenagers would come to socialise despite their different in beliefs of Catholics and Protestants.
The ministry team would spend time investing in the kids’ lives — getting to know their hopes, fears, and dreams. God’s love was shown in a practical way. The kids often began to wonder why the team was doing it, which opened many doors to conversations about God.
After the loss of the building, the Hangout is still in the process of reforming and redirecting itself, and is being taken into the streets. The team goes into town on Saturday afternoons to meet with youths and chat over coffee or relax in the park. On Saturday nights the team goes in to partner with local churches handing out free tea, coffee and biscuits to people coming out of the clubs.
There is a lot of change occurring at this time and it will be exciting to see where God takes it.

Community Ministries Team
The Community Ministries Team aims to serve the Northern Irish community, particularly in the area where we live, by making known to them the love of God through our service and relationships. We do this through participation and presentations in schools, churches, youth groups, town events, clubs and groups.

Base Maintenance
This involves the day-to-day maintenance of our accommodation and classroom buildings for the students. This can be anything from ensuring taps are in good working order to painting and decorating. Which in all the maintenance department covers.

URGENT CALL TO MOZAMBIQUE

Filed under: Uncategorized — lamme @ 8:49 pm

Allay this morning our Base Director inform us about a call for Volunteer to help in Mozambique whom are displace by the flood and now living at Camps. Which is due to the heaven rainfall and was the Zambezi River to flow over it banks. This call for help come from the ywam Director in Mozambique at fast the ask for financial help but in two day later he send and other mail asking for both financial and Volunteer after estimating the situation at the two camps. Below is the copy of the second letter he sends which will give more view to the saturation in this page.

Dear Friends and family,

I wish I had a way of communicating how urgent this appeal for helpers and friends is; but as you read, know that it is very urgent. I write as one who believes that making sure people in dire cicumstaance know more uor God is an essential part of our calling and mission.

Yesterday I sent a longe e-mail that was both an appeal and infomative of the flood situation here. I (and a team of 4 others)have just come back from chupanga-50km away I can describe what I saw is that the situation is dire. We spoke to the man in charge of the camp. He told us that poeple are getting 15grams of food person per day (all us who heard him still think he made a mistake -although he repeated this many time), the health services are not so good and they have a seroius shortage of tents (and it is raining here as I write). What I saw was Heart breaking. I set down with the man and asked him what he felt the main needs were. What i have written below is what he said.

  1. Some to take a census-a proper head count of all the people, noting who is in which family or village group.
  2. Health:there is not enough nurses, no doctors and not enough tents to separate the sick people or the children. All sick people are being looked after in one big tent. There is need to separate children and create a children’s section. (Tents are needed to be able do this).
  3. No food for the seriously sick. Ideally they need to be fed there in the health centre but there is no food. Worse, there is no utensils and provide the personnel to help with the cooking).
  4. There is a desperate need to teach primary health care just in case there is an outbreak of disease. Primary health care people could be ketp busy all day everyday here.
  5. There are about 1500people without tents living in gras shelters and under trees when it rains. When the tents come, they need someone to help set the tents up.

These are things are all ugent. As I look at them, I am amazed at how straightforward some of them are – like I do not need any qualification to do them, just a willing heart. Apart from what the office told us, we saw for ourselves the need for someone to amuse the children, to play with them and love them. The parents are pre-ocuied with survival at the moment and there is no family life there.

What am looking for? Anyone who is willing to come and help with the above. It will be wise to bring to your own tent as the Red Cross is failing to provide much needed tents here. For the volunteers I am looking for, we would need to set up our own camp in chupanga so as to avoid going up and down.

Tomorrw I am taking a team to check out another camp in chueza, about 25km down the river where I hear there is another camp.

Can we do something? Can we help?

Yes YOU can!

Yours – His

Shephen Mbewe

We need funds to buy food and timber for the construction of buts fund to run the boat as this will be one way in which we can transpotr the team and the Items.

So are base Director have made an offer to all the staff in the base that who ever want to go the base will help with haft of the cost. Five of us as staff has already volunteered to go each of us need to raise £600 at list and this will cover the part of cost of our tickets and Visas as we will be flying through South Africa and Mozambique. Which each one will cost us £70 because we will want a day before we leave. As team will be most likely leaving next week depend on the finance.

I will if you can support us with your pray and finance the groly of the work which will be done there will not befor us who will be there in person but it will as well be given to you because it your financail help that will make it porsibl. Solomon say’s ‘Money is the answer to every pray’ as this scripture is perfectly apply to this satiation I will if you can support us with your pray and finance the glory of the work which will be done there will not before us who will be there in person but it will as well be given to you because it your financial help that will make it possible. Solomon say’s ‘Money is the answer to every pray’ as this scripture is perfectly apply to this satiation I will if you can support us with your pray and finance the glory of the work which will be done there will not before us who will be there in person but it will as well be given to you because it your financial help that will make it possible. As Solomon say’s ‘‘Money is the answer to every pray’’ as this scripture is perfectly apply to this satiation, Solomon uses it towards Raising Support for the building of the Tabernacle. As today am using it towards Raising support for the Urgent Call For Financial Help and Volunteers to Mozambique.
